The World Health Organization has declared the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) a worldwide pandemic. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction vary for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death. Due to its capacity to transmit from person-to-person through respiratory droplets, the government has set recommendations, guidelines, and some prohibitions which White Horse Christian Center ("WHCC") adheres to comply. WHCC cannot prevent you or your children from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending WHCC’s services or events. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to attend WHCC’s services and/or enter onto conference/event premises you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.
Assumption of Risk
With full knowledge of the risks involved, I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself and/or my children in order to attend WHCC’s services and enter the conference premises. These services are of such value to me, and/or to my children, that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to attend WHCC’s services and enter the conference premises in person.
I hereby release, waive, discharge WHCC, its board, officers, independent contractors, affiliates, employees, representatives, successors, and assigns from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, directly or indirectly arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death, that may be sustained by me related to COVID-19 while participating in any activity while in, on, or around the premises or while using the facilities that may lead to unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WHCC from and against any and all costs, expenses, damages, lawsuits, and/or liabilities or claims arising whether directly or indirectly from or related to any and all claims made by or against any of the released party due to injury, loss, or death from or related to COVID-19.
By signing below I acknowledge that I have read the foregoing Liability Release Waiver and understand its contents; that I am at least eighteen (18) years old and fully competent to give my consent; that I have been sufficiently informed of the risks involved and give my voluntary consent in signing it as my own free act and deed; that I give my voluntary consent in checking this Liability Release Waiver as my own free act and deed with full intention to be bound by the same, and free from any inducement or representation.

Our heart as a church family has always been to keep each other safe as we worship together. We have worked with the Tippecanoe Health Department and are in compliance with recommendations from Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins University, and the CDC. Based on our research, these are our recommendations going forward to keep one another safe.
COVID-19 cases are escalating in Tippecanoe County and it is imperative that we take care of one another by taking these measures of precaution. Our hospitals are reaching maximum capacity in terms of the number of staff to care for patients.
Our goal is always the safety and wellbeing of everyone we serve. We recommend following the basic sanitary guidelines:
o Wash and sanitize hands often
o Stay home if you are sick
o Practice social distancing
o Be respectful of those who do or who don’t choose to mask
During this time, please respect one another’s personal space.
Please be diligent to wash and sanitize your hands, and continue to follow good health safety practices.
If you have ANY symptoms at all, PLEASE, stay home. That includes any and all cold-type symptoms – fever, runny nose, sore throat, sniffles, cough, etc. We will continue to livestream and you are invited to watch our online service.
We ask for those who are ages 60+ or have higher risk health concerns to please attend the Sunday 8:30 AM worship service. Our 10 AM and 6 PM Sunday Services, along with our Wednesday Midweek service, will remain open to all.
Let’s all endeavor to be caring and sensitive with our words and our actions. We must operate in the fruit of the Spirit – no matter what our position is. (Galatians 5:22) We will walk in love and give careful thought before saying or posting words that may be divisive, judgmental, or be hurtful to people in their current situations. We are the BODY of Christ. Let’s love one another and continue to have a servant’s heart.
