Virtual Leadership Summit – “Purification Glory”:

August 11-13. Evening services at 7:00 PM are in person for our WHCC local church family and online for our extended church family. We will livestream on whcc.net, the WHCC app, Facebook and YouTube.  More information is available at leaders.whcc.net. Daytime sessions at 10:00 AM & 2:00 PM on Thursday & Friday are online only – no in person participation during the daytime sessions.

During the Leadership Summit we will be designating all of the offerings for our friends and leaders we’ve ordained in the nations. Many in these nations are suffering and dying from covid. Many are in lockdown and cannot work. Many are hungry. Thank you for contributing to our sowing into their need.

These nations include:

Vietnam               Kenya                   Romania
Nepal                    India                      Belize
Myanmar            Pakistan               Ghana
Cambodia            Liberia                   Mexico
Uganda                 Israel                     Russia

UPDATE to KEEP US SAFE:

  • As we have worked with the Tippecanoe Health Dept. and in compliance with recommendations from Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, and the CDC, these are our recommendations.

  • Every week for the past seven weeks we have had individuals among our church family infected with the Covid virus and suffering from its symptoms.

  • No one that we know of was infected while at WHCC. Our church family has been good at letting us know when they are sick and staying home.

  • In the past 24 hours we have a reported eight people among six families with Covid – two of them young children.

  • Cases are escalating in our community, and it is imperative that we take care of one another by taking these measures of precaution. Our hospitals are reaching maximum capacity in terms of number of staff to care for patients.

  • Pastor Jeff and the WHCC pastors request that:

    • Everyone two years and older wear a mask into and out of the building until seated in the sanctuary.

    • If you are unable to wear a mask, you are still welcome to attend, but please social distance while you’re here.

    • You may remove your mask while seated.

    • We request you wear your mask while standing in worship.

    • Please respect one another’s personal space

      • No close face-to-face communication and hugging

      • Sit with your family and/or people in your social bubble

      • Be diligent to wash and sanitize your hands

  • If you have ANY symptoms at all, PLEASE, stay home. That includes any and all cold-type symptoms – fever, runny nose, sore throat, sniffles, cough, etc.

  • We ask that those who are 60+ attend the Sunday 8:30 AM worship service. This is for your protection.

    • 10 AM and 6 PM Services and Wednesday services remain open to all.

  • Let’s all endeavor to be caring and sensitive with our words and our actions.

    • We must operate in the fruit of the Spirit – no matter what our position is

    • Walk in love and give careful thought before saying (or posting) words that may be divisive, judgmental, or be hurtful to people in their current situations.

    • We are the BODY of Christ. Let’s love one another and continue to have a servant’s heart.

Children’s Ministry Update:

  • The Pastors have agreed that it will be wise to postpone the beginning of Wednesday night Children’s Classes and Sunday childcare for the time being.

    • This allows our children to adjust to what is happening in their school classrooms.

    • We always try to follow the disciplines and health guidelines of our local health department and schools.

    • We will reevaluate in September and inform you of future updates as they become available.

    • We have been working diligently to clean, refresh, and redecorate all the classrooms upstairs

      • The teachers and staff are excited to get the children back into class!

      • We love our children, and their health and wellbeing is always our highest priority.
