I would ask for your continued prayer support as I am in a real and serious battle with my health. On June 30th, I spiked a high fever. I worked with my doctors for five days, but on July 4th they sent me to the hospital. I was there for six days, July 4 – 9. Doctors sent me home and 36 hours later I was readmitted, on July 11. I’m now in a 15-day battle, with 10 of those days in the hospital. I have a team of specialists working with me. They are excellent at what they do and are very caring.
As of today (July 14), I have been diagnosed with a serious but curable virus that will require treatment over the next three months. I will be released from the hospital once my breathing and fever stabilize, which will take some time.
Please no visitors, phone calls, or prayer requests at this time. For prayer requests and immediate needs, please contact the church office or another member of the pastoral staff. Thank you for understanding, as I will need this time to rest and heal.
Our pastoral team will continue to lead on in my absence, with older staff supporting younger staff, all working as one – working together to carry out what God has put in our hearts and confirmed.
I would ask you to not complain, murmur, or be negative – but for us to come together with the life and love of God.
Philippians 2:13-15 – for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
1 Peter 4:8-10 – And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
I miss you and love you all very much. I am believing God for healing, restoration, and the very best in this situation.
If I could speak, I would share about God’s incredible love and the awesome future that He has for you, plus, the commitment to love God with all your heart, and to obey the commission to share Christ.
Until we meet again, God Bless!
